David brings over 30 years of experience to ClearImpact Group in executive leadership across the nonprofit, education, and financial services sectors. His career is distinguished by a deep commitment to social impact, economic mobility, and educational access.

Most recently, David served as President & CEO of Urban Ventures, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to poverty alleviation through holistic programs supporting families from cradle to career. Under his leadership, Urban Ventures tripled its annual fund revenue, successfully completed a $10 million capital campaign, and launched a pioneering early learning center amidst the pandemic. He also spearheaded a diversion program for first-time gun offenders, mentoring young men of color through a process of personal growth and transformation.

Prior to Urban Ventures, David was the President & CEO of ECMC Group, where he oversaw a $700 million revenue organization with over 2,500 employees and a $30 billion asset portfolio. At ECMC, he led the creation of the Zenith Education Group, a major nonprofit vocational training institution. David has also held senior leadership roles at College Loan Corporation, Wells Fargo, and Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation, where he developed innovative strategies for organizational growth, operational efficiency, and service expansion. 

Dave specializes in stepping into interim CEO positions, where he brings stability and strategic vision to organizations during times of transition. He also runs a program dedicated to mentoring, supporting, and investing in emerging entrepreneurs, providing hands-on guidance in operations, financial management, and growth strategy to help them succeed.

David holds a BA in Psychology and Business Management from the University of Minnesota and multiple certificates in business, software design, and database development from the University of St. Thomas. He actively serves on several boards and contributes to his church community and other community-focused initiatives.
