Gaby Gonzalez
Gaby is a passionate advocate for equitable economic development and an accomplished venture capital fellow with a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, program development, and impact evaluation. With a decade of experience spanning the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, Gaby has made significant strides in advancing diverse and inclusive economic growth.
Gaby began her journey in the social impact space at the International Community Foundation, where she supported grant-making to nonprofit organizations based in Latin America. Her drive to support underrepresented communities led her to the San Diego Museum of Us, where she successfully raised over $1M in funding for decolonizing initiatives and established robust monitoring and evaluation systems for grant-funded programs. Her commitment to enabling access to safe housing was further demonstrated during her tenure at the Affordable Housing Network, LLC, where she led customer research, user design and marketing projects to enhance Section 8 voucher access across the US.
Gaby's expertise in early-stage investments was honed at MIT Solve, where she supported a venture capital fund deploying $2M in capital to 18 tech ventures. In the role, she also designed and launched a tech accelerator for a global audience of 4,000+ young entrepreneurs and built strategic relationships with over 40 NGO and corporate partners.
Gaby is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned a B.A. in Public Policy from Brown University. She is currently a Managing Partner at the Tarrson Impact Fund, Chicago:Blend Venture Capital Fellow, and a Goldie Scholar.
