Rupa Ramadurai
Rupa is a former educator turned policy advisor, lawyer, and human capital strategist with over a decade of experience spanning the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.
Rupa began her career as a Teach for America corps member in South Florida. After leaving the classroom, she sought to expand her impact on the education system and obtained her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She worked as a school district attorney and in-house counsel at the State Board of Education hoping to achieve educational equity for students in and around Chicago.
This passion led her into policy/advocacy work, where she partnered with state legislators on setting and building power around progressive policy agendas as the director of Leadership Development at Leadership for Educational Equity.
More recently, Rupa has deepened her influence in the people and culture space, serving as a coach who empowers others to become change agents in their personal and professional spheres. In addition to her work with ClearImpact Group, Rupa recently served as the senior director of people and culture at Future Now (The States Project) as well as an in-house consultant at IBIS Group.
Rupa earned an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth school of businesses and is an adjunct professor at the DePaul University College of Law.
Throughout her career, Rupa has prioritized pathways to building and advocating for more equitable systems, especially for those most marginalized. In her free time, Rupa invests in her community through nonprofit board service and mentorship.
