At Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Scott spearheaded strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance, implement cutting-edge care models, and advance innovation in addiction and mental health treatment. As a strategic advisor at the American Psychiatric Association (APA), he shaped organizational strategy, accelerated commercialization efforts, and guided the CEO through a critical phase of rapid growth.
Scott’s entrepreneurial achievements include creating a clinic-within-a-clinic model at Emory Brain Health Center, establishing the first comprehensive at-home substance use disorder service line, and securing over $50 million in impact and social venture funding to support innovative initiatives. He has also directed clinical research for the American Academy of Neurology, improved population health and clinical operations as a community hospital ELT member, and led institutional growth in a cabinet-level role at a prominent university.
As a sought-after consultant, Scott has partnered with leading organizations such as Mayo Clinic, Stanford Medicine, and Global Innovation Fund, providing expertise in healthcare strategy, business model design, and market development. He also serves as faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, where he teaches graduate courses in healthcare strategy and behavioral health operations.
