Troy Groenke
As a Managing Partner at ClearImpact Group, Troy leverages 18 years of experience empowering high-impact organizations to define and achieve their strategic goals. With expertise in strategy, business model development, finance, and operations, he is driven by a passion for co-creating new approaches, watching great ideas gain traction, operating with data and financial discipline, and aligning stakeholders through periods of change.
Troy's career began as the founder and CEO of Soundworks, a media startup dedicated to empowering the next generation of creatives. After a successful exit, Troy transitioned into philanthropy and social impact, where he has spent the last twelve years in various leadership roles. These include serving as Fractional COO at Dooner Social Ventures (DSV), a venture philanthropy and social impact investor, and as Development Director at Wallin Education Partners, where he developed a strategy for national expansion. Prior to these roles, Troy was Vice President of Marketing at Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation.
As a consultant, Troy has championed over 100 projects “from soup to nuts.” His engagements generally focus on reviewing sustainability and impact, casting a clear vision, developing a new operating model, and launching go-to-market activities for service-oriented organizations with budgets ranging from $15 million to $250 million.
Troy holds a BA from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and an MBA concentrating in finance, entrepreneurship, and strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was recognized as a Neubauer Civic Scholar. He resides in Minneapolis, MN, with his two children and partner, Aydrea.
